Founder and Lead instructor Julea Joseph launched her business, Reinventing Space in 1999 when interior redesign, home staging (and HGTV,) were just in their infancy. After years in the software industry, Julea reconnected with her artistic roots to launch a new career in home interiors. Her ideal clients were savvy homeowners with great things, but in need of a bit of creative help, expertise and guidance to pull their home together. Julea's knowledge of home entertaining and lifestyle lead her to not just staging or redesigning homes, but connecting with her clients on a whole different level - Celebrating all that is home. She'd stage a home, but add small defining touches to go after that ideal buyer, she'd be hired to do a redesign for a homeowner hosting a shower, but also setup her buffet and suggest a few recipes as well... She was styling homes, not just staging or designing them. She was an Interior Stylist.
After moving back to Chicago from the San Francisco area, within a year, she had appeared on HGTV's "Decorating Cents," in the Chicago Tribune, Elite magazine and in multiple local papers. Color consultation, shopping, window treatments and working on model homes from blue prints up quickly followed, and now almost 13 years later - still is delighted everyday with her career choice!
Julea has a bachelors degree in Psychology from Bradley University, along with a minor in Fine Arts. She received specialty design and home staging education from the Interior Arrangement and Design Association in 1999.
An expert speaker and instructor, Julea has been teaching workshops, seminars and educational training programs for over 8 years. From an Illinois Association of Realtors GRI instructor to local cable TV Hostess - She likes to talk!
Her Media Accolades include: HGTV's "Decorating Cents" and "My First Place," as well as local Chicago TV - ABC7, CLTV, WGN and in print publications such as - The Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun Times, Elite Magazine & Crain's Chicago Business. - Julea's site Media Link
